Whether the alleged unlawful detention and forced disappearance of the victims violated their rights to life, humane treatment, personal liberty, and judicial protection under the American Convention on Human Rights (‘ACHR’) and the Inter-American Convention to Prevent and Punish Torture.

Whether the same alleged activities also violated the rights to humane treatment, fair trial, and judicial protection of the family members of the alleged victims as found in the ACHR.
