On 28 October 2005 Rosinvestco UK Ltd commenced arbitration against the Russian Federation based on the Agreement between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Government of the USSR for the Promotion and Protection of Investments signed in London on 6 April 1989 (the ‘BIT’).
