10.1 The previous chapter set out the scale of immunities and privileges which is accorded under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations to diplomatic agents who are not nationals or permanent residents of the receiving State. A majority of the individuals who are entitled under the Convention to some immunities or privileges do not, however, come into this category, and they receive privileged treatment on a lesser scale.
