The WTO dispute settlement system is a sophisticated and dedicated regime for resolving trade disputes between WTO Members. With the growth of WTO membership, it is inexorably moving towards a wholly universal regime. In its short life it has already produced thousands of pages of case law, in which many aspects of the WTO legal regime have been clarified, or at least analysed and debated, in a judicial style.
