Legislative Procedure

1 The Treaties distinguish between two types of lawmaking procedures: legislative procedures and other adoption procedures. Legislative procedures can be divided into the ordinary legislative procedure (Arts 289(1) and 294 Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU)) and (different forms of) special legislative procedures (Art. 289(2) TFEU).
