1 On 17 September 2007 an arbitral tribunal constituted under Article 287 and Annex II of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea resolved a maritime boundary dispute between the Republics of Guyana and Suriname. The award (Guyana v Suriname [Award]) provided for a single maritime boundary delimitation of the territorial sea, continental shelf, and the exclusive economic zone.
