1. The Committee shall adopt its own rules of procedure. 2. The Committee shall elect its officers for a term of two years.   All the human rights treaty bodies may adopt—and amend—their own rules of procedure. Some treaties prescribe certain procedural requirements. For example, ICCPR Article 39(2) prescribes the number of members that constitute a quorum, and that decisions shall be made by a majority vote of the members present.
