1 The General Assembly (‘GA’) is one of the principal organs of the United Nations (UN) enumerated in Art. 7 (1) UN Charter. The fact that it takes pride of place on the list and that its functions and powers are set out in Chapter IV UN Charter, before all the other principal organs, is no coincidence.
