In the last twenty-five chapters the focus has largely been on the current state of the law of targeting, on its rules and their meaning, on the persons and objects that the law seeks to protect and how it sets about doing so, and on the application of targeting law in a variety of environments. Having therefore identified what the law currently consists of, we will aim in the pages that remain to determine whether this body of law is fit for purpose.
