Article 15 is the only Article of the Covenant which deals with ‘cultural rights’. It contains three separate rights: the right to take part in cultural life (Article 15(1)(a)); the right to enjoy the benefits of scientific progress and its applications (Article 15(1)(b)); and the right to benefit from the protection of the moral and material interests resulting from any scientific, literary or artistic production of which an individual is the author (Article 15(1)(c)).
