This Chapter considers the obligations of armed non-state actors. It covers their obligations both in times of armed conflict, and at all other times as well. We address issues of international humanitarian law, human rights law, and international criminal law; and we make a number of suggestions to ensure respect for the law by armed non-state actors so as to improve the protection of the victims of armed conflict.
