1 The relationship between General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT)/World Trade Organization (WTO) law and European Union (EU)/European (Economic) Community E(E)C law has been qualified as one of mutual ‘co-adaptation’ (De Baere and Van Damme) or of ‘cross-fertilization’ (Soave).
