Human Rights Month
Human Rights day is observed every year on the 10th of December, marking the day that the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration on Human Rights.
The Declaration was first signed on 10th December 1948, making this year its 70th anniversary. We’re marking this important moment in global history with our Human Rights Countdown Calendar, featuring content from the Max Planck Encylopedia of Public International Law and the Max Planck Encyclopedia of Comparative Constitutional Law, in addition to chapters from some of our leading human rights law titles.
Including topics such as reproductive rights, education, housing, and the right to a fair trial, our calendar offers valuable insight into human rights around the world. Check back each day to see what has been made available to read.
